According to Channels TV, he gave the warning on Monday while reacting to the series of disagreements between some lawmakers and presidential appointees, including some ministers and heads of Federal Government agencies.
Senator Lawan was responding to questions from State House correspondents in Abuja shortly after President Buhari inaugurated the Executive, Legislative Party Consultative Council at the Presidential Villa.
“Coming to your second-leg of the question that recently we had some appointees on the executive side walking out or maybe saying things, I believe that that should be the end of it; we believe that we should work together,” the lawmaker stated.
He added, “For us in the National Assembly, I think what has happened has happened and I pray that nobody goes to the National Assembly to do the kind of things that some people did before because that will be disrespecting the President and, of course, abuse of the National Assembly and we are not going to tolerate that.”
According to Lawan, even the President made it very clear that he will not accept or tolerate any of his appointees doing things that are not respectable and have no dignity to the National Assembly.
He stressed the need for political officers to ensure the Council produces the desired results and outcomes, that would make Nigeria better in terms of governance.

Standard firuther said, Madame Jallow said she has paid D2.3 million to help repatriate what is now more than 40 Gambian women stranded in the Lebanese capital, Beirut. She added that a total payment of D3 million will be made to finish the mission, which include the paying of lawyer’s fees and communications, as well as the women’s upkeep and tests for Covid-19.
However, the foreign affairs ministry said contrary to what Madame Jallow has made Gambian people to believe, they are in fact not collaborating with her.
“The Government of The Gambia is neither working with her nor working against her,” spokesperson Saikou Ceesay told The Standard. He refused to give any further details.
Responding to the ministry’s statement, Madame Jallow told The Standard: “This is not a game of winning or losing and I think it is wise if we have the same interests. That was the intention [of my assistance].”
She said the Gambia government together with its consulate in Lebanon facilitated and released the documents of the girls’ “and I paid the tickets for their return”.
But the untold story according to standard is:
The Standard has learnt that most of the women in Lebanon have minor issues with the law. “That is why it was difficult to just have them repatriated. There were a lot of issues that government had to deal with first,” a government source told The Standard.

GAMBIA POLICE RECOMMEND PROSECUTION OF SENEGALESE DIPLOMAT
By Amie T. Camara
Afrinity Production disclose to you the Gambia Police investigators recommendation for the prosecution of Senegalese diplomat who was arrested in April and charged with committing a sex crime in The Gambia.
The diplomat, 41, was accused of raping a “mentally-challenged” 17-year-old girl he resides in the same compound with in the Greater Banjul Area.
According to Standard, the report shocked the nation with many activists and rights advocates calling for the unnamed diplomat to be brought to book who was released after questioning by police at the Kairaba Station.
It is believed the diplomat has immunity from prosecution under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
But The Standard has learnt that the police investigators who looked into the issue have now come up with a report which provided sufficient grounds for the diplomat to be prosecuted.
The report which was submitted in May and supposedly copied to the Attorney General’s Chambers and the Interior ministry further stated that the diplomat “took advantage” of the “mentally-unbalanced girl”. It said the diplomat should be prosecuted without delay.
But Solicitor General Cherno Marenah said unless the diplomat’s immunity is waived by Senegal, there was little or nothing his office could do about the matter.
“It’s a case that has got diplomatic underpinnings,” he noted.
“The case would have to be taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It’s a Foreign Affairs decision,” he said.
The spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saikou Ceesay, declined to respond to The Standard when asked whether his ministry will make a formal request to the Senegalese government for the alleged sex-fiend diplomat’s immunity to be revoked.
“I will get back to you,” he tersely said, before uncharacteristically demanding that The Standard writes formally to the ministry on the matter.
But a career diplomat who wished not to be named in the story, told The Standard that this case should have been determined a long time ago if the government was at all interested in justice.
